Northampton, Nazareth Dual

Team

Great job today!

Boys you really stepped up today to beat a Nazareth team that had already beat us. It was a complete team effort as our 6 and 7 came in before their 5th.
The wins today puts our season dual meet record at 4-2.

Girls way to take care of bussiness with a double win. We are now 6-0.

Many people ran their best times of the year and their career. The hard work is paying off.

This Saturday we run at the Paul Short Invitational. It is going to be great! Not only will we see some great college racing, but we will race against some of the best runners in the country in the High School division.

See you at practice tomorrow.
Alumni, fall break is coming up. Stop by practice or a meet. We would love to see you.

No one of us is as strong as all of us!

Team

No one of us is as strong as all of us!

We are a team. The sum of the parts is greater than the individuals pieces. We have the opportunity to do some good things this year if we are willing to do what is neccassary.

Today you did what is neccassary. We had a great practic. Those repeat miles were fantastic.

On Monday we will lift after school and then go to the Parkway for practice which will end at 5:30.

See you all Monday.

Dieruff, Allen

Team

Good job today. I am very proud of all of you.

Girls good wins. Marcie, way to go out there and win the race. We had a lot of girls run their best times of the season today.

Boys, good win over Dieruff. Lets face facts Allen is good this year. They have a nice team.

Next week we run Northampton and Nazareth on the same course we ran today. This will be a great chance to measure weather or not you are improving.

Alumni News

Some of you may remember Steph Roghman she ran track with us a couple of seasons and she played tennis in the fall at CCHS. She is on the Ursinus XC team with our own Maureen McCarthy.

Bulldog

Team

We had a great day.

The boys varsity finished 9th of the 27 teams in the race.

The Frosh boys ran well taking the team championship. Individual results were impressive with Colin Bakey taking first place and Mike Kelley (2nd), Carlos LuLuz (5th), and Nolan Bet (7th) all winning medals.

The girls varsity came out early in this race and took control. Marcie Sobrinski (1st), Mo Watson (4th), Meghan Burns (5th), Kathryn Markowitz (7th), Heather Gribb (10th) and Katrina Leickel (17th) all won medals.

In the JV race the girls took second with Lizzy Ewell (1st), Anne Koons (4th), Laura Wroge (5th) winning medals.

In the Freshman race Megan Kinsella won the race making it a sweep for the CCHS girls as they took the individual first place medal in all three events.

We next race on Tuesday at the Dieruff course against Allen and Dieruff.

Boys this is a big one for us! So lets get it done.

Gettysburg

Team

A great weekend in Gettysburg. First we went by coach bus which was nice. We left at 6:00a.m which was tough. Only one person missed the bus.

The girls varsity ran great and beat a very tough field. The JV girls took second with a number of the girls winning individual medals. The boys continued to improve. Konz and LaLuz won their first medals in XC at CCHS.
After the meet and a trip to McDonalds we went to the battlefield. I and Coach O’Leary served as guides. It would seem that the team enjoyed their visit to such an historic site.

On Tuesday we run against Freedom and Liberty at Freedom. On Saturday we run in Slatington at the Bulldog invitational.

Alumni News
I heard from Haley Kimmet this week, she is at Trinity College where she is on the Crew. Kevin McFadden made his debut at Notre Dame last week. He did a good job in his first college race at the 8k distance.

Well the results of Northampton were not the one’s we hoped for the girls. We ran hard but did not have the results we expected.

The boys ran well with many running in their first meet doing quite well.

We have another meet next week in Gettysburg so lets see what happens.
